DERWYDD, a hamlet, joint with Garn, in the parish of LLANDEBIE, upper division of the hundred of IscENNEN, county of CARMARTHEN, SOUTH WALES, 3+ miles (S. S. w.) from Llandilo-Vawr. The population is returned with the parish. The name of this place signifies that it formerly appertained to a Druid, and. several appearances in the neighbourhood indicate that it was anciently the resort of some of that class. It is situated near the south bank of the river Cennen, and is partially wooded.
