GLYN, a hamlet, in the parish and union of Llanelly, hundred of CARNAWLLON, county of Carmarthen, South Wales, 4 miles (N. N. W.) from Llanelly; containing 908 inhabitants. It is situated at the western declivity of Mynydd Sulien, and the tramroad from the coal-pits on Mynydd Mawr to Llanelly passes in the vicinity: coal abounds also in this district. A chapel dedicated to St. John stands here.
