KILAY (CILE), a hamlet, joint with Tregorn, in the parish of LLANDAROG, hundred of ISCENNEN, union of CARMARTHEN and county of CARMARTHEN, SOUTH WALES, 7 miles (E. S. E.) from Carmarthen. The population is included in the return for the parish. The Gwendraeth Vechan river flows through this hamlet, and on its right bank are the remains of an ancient chapel, called Capel Ivan.
