ARMITAGE, (Staffordshire) on the r. Sow, bet. Riddesley and King's Bramley, is noted for the tobacco pipes made here of a
greyish sort of clay, dug near Wrottesley House, and has been the seat of the Ridgleys, since the R. of Edw. III.
