ASHWOOD, (Staffordshire) in the p. of King's-Swynford and part of the forest of Kinfare, which formerly included a great
part of the S. side of this Co. Upon its heath, near the bridge over the Stour, is an Intrenchment, supposed to have been
formerly a Roman camp, commonly called Wolverhampton Ch. yard, from its resemblance to it.
