BADMINTON, (Gloucestershire) MAGNA and PARVA, have a chapel of ease to Hawkesbury, and lie on the b. of Wilts, 3 m. to the N.E. of Chipping-Sodbury and Wickwar, 15 from Glocester, and 85 from London. It was the Botelers manor and seat for near 400 Years, till one of them sold it to Somerset E. of Worcester, whose posterity have ever since enjoyed it with the title of D's. of Beaufort.
