BIKENHILL-CHURCH, BIKENHILL-HILL, and BIKENHILL-MIDDLE, (Warwickshire) are all in one p. to the S. of Coleshill, near the road from Birmingham to Coventry. In the R. of Edw, II. Church-Bikenhill, which is the chief, bel. to Walter Parks, whose son conveyed it to Sir John Peache. Its Ch. was first given to the nunnery of Kenwood in this Co. and afterwards to that of Mergate in Bedfordshire. The other two hamlets, formerly reputed but one by the name of Little-Bikenhill, bel. in the R. of K. John, to Richard de Kaines, and a good part came afterwards to the nuns at Henwood; but after the Ref. it was passed out of the crown to Edward Aglionby of Balshall, and Henry Hugford of Solihull; and they were purchased, a little time after, by John Fisher of Packington, from whom they descended to Sir Clement Fisher, Bart, who enjoyed them in 1640.
