BURTON, (Lincolnshire) which is also cailed Burton-Stather, 127 cm. and 149 mm. from London, stands very well for trade, on the E. side of the Trent, whereon it has several mills, and the houses are pleasantly intermixed with trees. It has 2 Chs. one so low in respect to the precipice over it, that a person may almost leap from it on the steeple. Its Mt. is on M. and Fair on Lady-day.
