CAVERSHAM, (Oxfordshire) 2 m. N. from Reading. The manor-house, viz. Caversham-Lodge seems, in the R. of Hen. VI. to have been the seat of Rich. Beauchamp, but in the last century, it was that of the Earl of Craven, as it is now of Earl Cadogan, whose father, the first Earl of the family, built a grand house here.
