CUBBINGTON, (Warwickshire) a large T. or p. near Warwick, bel. formerly to the Kts. Templars, then to the Hospitallers, till the Ref. when Hen. VIII. granted it to Hen. Herdson and Edw. Watson, and their heirs; who, by licence, alienated it to Rich. Fawkner. Part of this manor, which had bel. to the monks of Coventry, was given by Edw. VI. to Sir Ralph Sadler, master of the great wardrobe, and the Hospitallers part by Q. Eliz. to John Fisher and others.
