DEPEHAM, (Norfolk) on the S.W. side of Windham, formerly bel. to the monks of Christ-Church, Canterbury; but, at the Diss. was given, by K. Hen. VIII. to its D. and C. This place was not long ago, if it be not still, noted for a vast great linden-tree, described by Mr. Evelyn, in his Silva, and for a petrifying spring at the foot of it.
