ETON, (Sussex) a little above Stening, has the tide flowing up to it by the r. Adur every 12 hours, and a spring-tide at
every new and full moon, which sometimes overflows the banks. The r. is navigable to it for barges, which carry timber,
&c. to Shoreham, for building ships, &c.
