FLAMBOROUGH, (Nottinghamshire) in the ps. of Orston and Staunton, was, in old writings, called Flamborough de le Hou, from
the long residence of a family here of that name; but was sold by Harvey Staunton, Esq; to the E. of Newcastle; of whom,
or his trustees, it was bought by Sir John Cropley, whose son afterwards inclosed it.
