FRENSHAM, (Surrey) 3 m. S. of Farnham, noted for a pond near 3 m. in comp. well known, to the fishmongers of London for
its excellent tarp. This, with another pond, in the same p. bel. to the Bp. of Winchester; but both are, or lately were,
held in lease by Sir William Moor. Near these is also Abbots-Pond, which formerly bel. to Waverley-Abbey but was lately in
the possession of Ld. Visc, Montacute.
