GOLDEN-VALE, (Herefordshire) extends W. of Hereford, along the banks of the Dove, or Doier, with hills all about it covered with
woods, and has its name from its fertility, and the yellow livery of flowers which it wears in the spring. The wool here,
as well as about Leominster and Wigmore, is reckoned as fine as any in England.
