GRAYSTOCK-CASTLE, (Cumberland) on the r. Peterel, to the W. of Penrith, is the ancient manor and seat of the Ds. of Norfolk, to whom it came by marriage with the heiresses general of George Ld. Dacres and Gillisland; whose ancestor Tho. Ld. Dacres had it in the R. of Hen. VII. by marriage with a daughter of Ralph Ld. Graystock.
