HAM, (Kent) on the S. W. side of Sandwich. A part of it, which bel. heretofore to the men. of Christ-Ch. Canterbury, was given by Hen. VIII. to Sir Tho. Moyl, who sold it to Sir Rob. Oxenbridge; whose posterity alienated it to the Bois's of Betshanger, whose successors were also proprietors of the other moiety, which was anciently the seat of the Criols; from whom it went by marriage to Fog; whose daughter carried it to Scot, and he sold it to Mr. Bois.
