HANWORTH, (Middlesex) on the W. side of Twickenham, was the favourite seat of Hen. VIII. having a prospect of the Thames, and a delightful country round about it, as well as 2 good parks, one called Kenton, the other Hanworth, where he always hunted the buck, or hare. It gave title of Baron to Francis Ld. Cottington, in the R. of Cha. I. and is the seat of Ld. Vere Beauclerc.
