HINTS, (Staffordshire) near the Black-Brook, which runs below it into Thame, on the W. side of Tamworth, formerly bel. to the
Dethicks family, from whom it passed by marriage to the Bassets of Blore. There is a large Roman tumulus near it turned
into a hard rock.
