KENCHESTER, (Herefordshire) on the r. Ine, (3 m. W. of Hereford, 1 m. from Credenhill, and 2 m. from Eaton); where, about 80 years ago, a great vault was discovered in a wood, with a table of plaister in it, near which were dug up Roman coins, several Roman urns with ashes, several large bones, &c. A bath was also discovered, and the brick-pipes, which heated it, remained entire.
