KETTLEWELL, (Yorkshire, W.R.) lies under a hill bet. Langshethdale chace and Netherdale, and was the Lp. of the family of
the Greys of Rotherfield. In 1686, its inh. were almost all drowned, by a violent flood in a thunder-storm, as were those
also of Starbotton the next village.
