KIMBERLEY, (Nottinghamshire) on the N. W. side of Nottingham, bet. the Erwash and the Lyne, was granted by Hen. VII. to
Sir John Salvage, who sold it to the family of Manners Ds. of Rutland. There was a priory here, whose lands were given at
the Diss. to Sir Will. Hussey, and after, to Mr. Morison; from whom they descended to the Ld. Capels posterity, now Es. of
Essex.
