KINGSBURY, (Warwickshire) stands on the r. Tame, in a delightful situation amongst woods, hills, and fine meadows, on the b. of Sutton-Chace, and is supposed to have been the seat of some of the Mercian Ks. It bel. formerly to the Bracebriggs, but was sold to Sir Ambrose Cave, Chanc. of the duchy of Lancaster; from whom it passed, by marriage, to Hen. Knolles, Esq; and, by his daughters, to the Willoughbies, who were its owners in 1640.
