KINGSTON-LACY, (Dorset) has a chapel of ease to Canford-PARVA, and bel. formerly to the Lacys Earls of Lincoln. At length it came into the House of Lancaster, and was by K. Henry IV. settled in the crown. K. James I. gave it to Cha. Blount Earl of Devonshire, whose son sold it to John, the grandfather of the late Sir John Bankes; and Sir Ralph Bankes built a stately house on it, said to be worth 10,000 l. alone.
