III. to a family named Ikin; but was alienated soon after to Sir John Hand's family, who sold it to Sir Henry Belknap; after whose son's death without male-heirs, it was divided bet. the daughters into three parts, of which two were sold to Mr. Godfrey, and one to Sir Christ. Man of Canterbury. New Langport in the same p. bel. once to Mr. Writtle, who sold it to Mr. Fettyplace of Oxfordshire; by whom it was alienated to Tho. James, who forfeiting it to the crown, K. Jam. I. granted it to John Ld. Haddington, who soon conveyed it to one Mr. Cropley of London.
