Dantseys, two of whom founded and endowed the fr. sc. and almshs. here. From these families it passed by marriage to Sir
Henry Lee, whose daughter carried it in marriage to Montague Earl of Abingdon. Here is a very pleasant seat, with a park,
grotto, &c.
