LIGHTHORN, (Warwickshire) at the head of Thelesford brook, near Wasperton, had a park, and bel. in the R. of Henry I. to the Mandevils, who, in that of Edw. I. conveyed it to Will. Beauchamp Earl of Warwick; but it afterwards came to the crown, and K. Hen. VIII. leased it out for 21 years to Roger Wigston, and then sold it to Sir Thomas Pope; whose descendant, the late Sir Tho. Pope, of Wroxton in Lancashire, enjoyed it.
