LINDLEY, (Leicestershire) near Fenny-Drayton, was, if it be not still, the manor of the Burtons, in which, according to
Mr. Will. Burton, of this family, who wrote the history of this Co. no adder, snake, or lizard was ever seen, though they
are common enough in the neighbourhood.
