MILLUM, (Cumberland) the most southern Lp. in the Co. lying bet. the rs. Dudden and Elk, and extending from the W. sea to the mountains above the manor of Thwaits, has bel. to the Huddlestons almost ever since the R. of Henry III. and was settled once on the abbey of Holm-Cultrum. In the aforefaid R. it had a grant of a Mt. and Fair, both since disused. Here is an old castle, and a stately park.
