M, and Aug. 29; but it is of most note, for being the burial-place of the Stanleys, Es. of Derby, whose seat is at Latham
in the neighbourhood. Here is a bituminous earth, from which oil of amber is extracted, that preserves raw flesh, and
serves the poor people instead of candles.
