PACKINGTON-MAGNA, (Warwickshire) 3 m. S, of Coleshill, bel. anciently to the mon. of Kenilworth; but at the Diss. was sold
to John Fisher, Esq; who built a stately fabrick here, the seat of the family; and his son, Sir Clement, made the park.
Sir Clement's son, Robert, who was created a Kt. in his father's time, and afterwards a Bt. built a lodge in the park, and
made great improvements to the seat. His grandson, the present Sir Clem. Fisher, Bt. has lately rebuilt the mansion-house,
and adorned it with delightful gardens, statues, canals, vista's, &c.
