PERY-TOWN, (Kent) near Westwell, was sold in the R. of Hen. VI. to cardinal Kemp, who settled it on his college of Wye;
but K. Henry VIII. granted it to Tho. Cawarden, who sold it to Sir John Baker; whose successor, of the same name, sold it
in 1657 to Nath. Powel of Sussex.
