STANFORD LE HOPE, (Essex) bet. Orset and the Thames, had a ford, now a bridge, over the rivulet, called the Hope by the
seamen, which is for great part a boundary to Stanford-Mucking and Horndon; which ps. are at the charge of keeping the
arch in repair. The estate has been for some time in the family of Fetherston, who built the present manorhouse.
