STOKE-DAY, (Rutland) on the side of a hill, near the little Ey r. below Uppingham, was anciently parcel of the Bp. of
Lincoln's manor of Lyddington in the neighbourhood, and afterwards bel. to the Morwoods. Of later times it was the manor
and seat of the Digbies.
