TOKENHAM, (Wiltshire) to the S. W. of Wotton-Basset, was a manor forfeited by the two Spensers, great favourites of Edward II. One of the late Ds. of Somerset had a seat here. West-Tokenham bel. to Bradenstoke-Abbey, and was held by lease by the D'Anvers family for many generations, leases being then as good as freehold.
