WIVENHO, (Essex) or VEUNOE, 3 m. from Colchester, of which it is the harbour, where the K. has a warehouse, or custom- house, was the seat of the late Nich. Corsellis. It lies near Wallfleet, from whence the best oysters are brought hither, and after being laid in beds, or pits, on the shore, to feed, as they call it, are here barreled and carried to Colchester, from whence they have the name of Colchester oysters.
