Market Drayton Independent Chapel.
Register of Births and Baptisms.
There are two volumes of Registers. One is 8 1/4 inches tall by 7 inches broad, and extends from 1776 to 1823, with three entries in 1827-8. The other volume is 8 1/2 inches tall by 6 3/4 inches broad, and contains entries for the years 1824-5, and 1831 to 1836. They are numbered 22 of the Shropshire Non-Parochial Registers preserved at Somerset House. The ministers who sign are Jonathan Scott 1776 to 1798, John Wilson 1796 to 1807, William MacDonald 1808 to 1816, John Sanderson in 1818, Richard Everall 1818 to 1822, R. Richards 1824-5, and Joseph Barton 1831 to 1836. The name is usually followed by " Minister of the Gospel." The Chapel was founded about the year 1775.
